# Buying Houses

There will be a total of 8,800 houses on the mainland.

Houses are sold directly in limited house sales that are held from time to time. These are purchased via GST tokens on marketplaces that will be announced in the future.

### Current Benefits of Owning A House

* If you are staying in your own house you don't have to rent from the system. 
* If you are staying in your own upgraded house, you get free random items.
* If you own a house and rent it out for more than what you are paying for rental, you are earning GSC daily for not doing anything.
* You can sell the houses in the future for profits.
